Who it is for
People in their fifties, sixties and seventies. Some have trained all their lives, most have not.
- Nothing here is a watered down version of the main programme. The lifts are the same lifts.
- We plan around the days you feel stiff rather than pretending they will not happen.
- If you have a joint replacement, a heart condition or anything else going on, tell us and we will work with it.
What a session looks like
- A longer warm up than the other sessions, because it earns its place at this age.
- One main lift, most often a squat variation, a hinge, or a press.
- Loaded carries, step ups and single leg work, which is where a lot of the balance comes from.
- Something for the grip and something for the upper back, most sessions.
- A short sit down at the end. People talk. This is not wasted time.
